3 WAYS TO AVOID PUNCTURES
Three Tips to ... Avoid Punctures
1 - PRESSURE
Pay attention to your tyre pressures; check the recommended pressure on the tyre sidewall as a correctly inflated tyre will be more resistant to punctures. Remember rubber is permeable so they will go down after a while especially if at high pressure so check them every couple of weeks minimum.
2 - WEAR
Check the condition of your tyres, a worn out tyre will be thinner and more susceptible to punctures, check your valves are straight in the rim so there’s no undue stress on the tube in this area.
3 - TUBELESS
Modern tubeless tyre/rim combos can greatly reduce punctures as the sealant automatically seals the tyre after a `puncture’, they also allow lower tyre pressures without the threat of the dreaded snake bite.
